Maybe I should start another thread with this question but it's related to the OP's post so I'll throw it out here and hope a couple of you experienced guys can chime in.

I too, am looking for an affordable, lightweight, and compact spotter, for glassing with binos, for an elk hunt next month. I am interested in the one Brad referenced, the Slik Sprint Pro EZ. I notice it, and many similar models, have a maximum height of around 64", give or take an inch. I am 5'8" tall and wonder, is a tripod with that height adequately tall that I could comfortably use it standing up, maybe for extended periods of time, if need be? I would expect to mainly use it sitting down but would guess there might be an occasional need to use it standing, due to topography, conditions, etc.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
