As 2muchgun says... this thing is really, REALLY big. It weighs more than 2 lbs!!!

All the hunting we do is in high, rugged country. You can get the idea from this photo of my son on the front page of our website...

I have to make my rifle as light as possible just to help this old man get around these mountains! Besides, the terrain and wind in this area limit shots to about 400 yards at the most, and many shooting opportunities are under 100 yards. My 2.5-8x36 is plenty of scope for this kind of hunting, and it only weighs around 11 ounces laugh

I'll leave this big scope to you guys who don't seem to mind packing around a 14 lb rifle and are reaching out and touching things at 1000 yards, and beyond!
