Why keep the tag (assuming that is what the green thing is) attached? Just curious.
It is a tag and I don't normally leave one attached, but it has sentimental value. The guy that assisted in gutting and dragging the deer out of the woods died three months later of prostrate cancer. He and I hunted together for several years.
