Introduced in 1970, the Smith & Wesson 66 Combat Magnum was only the 2nd stainless steel revolver made by Smith & Wesson. Engineering changes were made over the years and designated with a "dash-" number after the model number (66-1, 66-2, etc). This is the original Model 66 commonly known as a “No Dash”, and was made in 1973. This 6-shot, square butt K-frame stainless steel revolver is configured with a 4" barrel, adjustable rear sight with red insert front sight, and color case hardened hammer and trigger. As it was made in 1973, it has all the desirable features no longer found on current Smiths: It has the square butt grip frame with wood grips, a pinned barrel and recessed cylinder, the firing pin is on the hammer, and there is no lock (new Smiths have round-butt frames with rubber grips, internal firing pins, and keyed locks that disable the firearm when turned to the lock position. They also stopped pinning the barrels and recessing the cylinders with counterbores back in 1981). This one is in excellent used condition with just a few light handling marks. It has very nice action, perfect timing, and a sharp bright bore. Please refer to the many detailed pics. Price is $750 plus $25 shipping from my FFL to yours. Thanks for looking.
