The National Matches Stay at Perry.

CMP stays at Perry.

I went from 99 to 04 and the schedule flowed smoothly from CMP week to NRA week then into Long range.

I went this year and the schedule still worked out but I heard NRA across the course has really dropped in participation and so many match rifle shooters have gone to prone midrange only.

I have NO WAY of knowing, but I heard that over the years NRA and CMP competitions division management have not been able to play well together.

the 2017 Perry schedule announced this summer was very disjointed. I think pushback from shooters and CMP caused NRA to just pick up their trophies and go play somewhere else. again, just speculating.

I think this move will cause NRA across-the-course to die.

the new scope rule will keep CMP service rifle alive for another decade or two (or until intolerant hate-filled politicians manage to ban our sports equipment) might even cause growth in the sport... but not if the only decent scope costs more than the rifles....

I better go log into http://www.nationalmatch.us/ and see what folks are saying there.
