I have a two Remington 673's one in 6.5 and one in .350 Mag. The .350 is one of the most accurate bolt actions I own. All that was done to it was lighten the trigger. Far outshoots the 6.5. Quite a thumper too.
I think they do that just to mess with your head. My 700 Classic will shoot 100yd 3 shot cloverleafs if I do my part. Who really needs a half moa 350? It's great, but it's not really a 500 yd cartridge or the ideal target rifle!
