Wareagle: And this, I bought a Kimber SVT (Silhouette, Varmint, Target) in 17 Mach2 about three years ago.
It has a Leupold 6.5x20 EFR variable scope on it.
It IS a Gopher killing machine!
The trigger is just superb and the 17 Mach2 cartridge is perfect for many of my "close to civilization" Gopher applications.
The accuracy of my Kimber is just amazing and if a miss occurs I know I did not read the wind/range correctly!
I hope you enjoy your Kimber Varmint as much as I enjoy my Kimber SVT!
