Fotis: Up until a month ago the answer to this question was - its a toss up - they are both great pistols - in my mind pretty much equal in all the categories you mention.
I have been shooting both for quite some time now.
And indeed I do like all of my Ruger MK pistols (14 of'em) and my Buckmarks (5 of'em - mostly heavy barrels).
But since the Ruger MK-IV's came out last month this contest is now over - go Ruger MK-IV - they are now close to perfection!

Aside from the simplified take-down (which is no big deal to me), what do you see as improvements over the MKII and MKIII? Have they improved the trigger?
