My son has a SS Super Match Grade Pac-Nor Hunter weight barrel on a 700 that shoots phenomenally well. IIRC it is 5 groove, 9" twist, and in that little light rifle (faux Ti stock) it is never the weak link.

I just built a 25-284 on a Lilja barrel but cannot comment on how it shoots yet. PacNor has been outstanding for me in several different calibers and cartridges.

I have a Hart barreled Mauser in 25-06 also and it shoots more than good enough but not in the league of the 700.
