Master gun maker Steve Zihn made a flintlock for me. I asked him what to clean it with, he told me a mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide, rubbing Alcohol, and Murphy's soap.

Equal parts of Murphy's Oil Soap, Hydrogen Peroxide and Rubbing alchohol. This stuff is inexpensive.
Reinactement shooters have used this for many years.
