Op, I had a 1.5-5 Leupold on my 416 Rigby Ruger Magnum in a set of Warne QD rings, nary a problem for probably over a thousand rounds fired.
I had the same on my Dakota Rigby (since sold) with zero issues over four or so hundred rounds. That same scope is on my M70 416 Rem with about the same down with zero issues. It will "see" buffalo and sable in Zimbabwe later in the year.
