I have several rifles in these calibers,223,243,7-08,270, and one 7mm Rem Mag. I'm thinking of rebarreling one of my 270's into something different. I thought about 280 but feel it's too close to the 270 and I have the 7 Mag. Right now the 338-06 or a 35 Whelen are what I am considering.
What do you guys think? Would either be an easier conversion to make using a 270 Sako 75? Is one a better choice ,or is it just personal preference? I would think Elk would be the main target.
