Same problem here. I measured an original for 1936 , Win 94 and it is .261. Which I know it is original as it was my fathers gun and he never touched it.
Of course that would make yours shoot higher yet.

I have a .310 on it now and it seems about right.

The sights themselves are fairly inexpensive.Since you pay shipping and it's about the same for 1,2,or 3, order at least two. Put the smallest on first, if not happy go to the next height.
