I bought one in about 1969 . I ordered it in 270 at a local hardware store. a month went by and they said they could not get 270.but could get 3006. I was jacked by OConners praise of 270 but took the 06. I have never regretted it . I did have a Williams peep on it for a while and it took elk and deer and still does today. I feel like that is all the rifle I need for anything in North America. The action is smooth and never fails to feed. It will shoot 3/4 groups. It' my go to rifle. The only reason I got it was because of it being a lefty.

“To account nothing of one's self, and to think always kindly and highly of others, this is great and perfect wisdom.”
