How many 6.5x284's have you shot out? Have you ever truly shot out a big game rifle barrel?
Actually, two. Not sure that I would classify it has shooting out a big game rifle barrel, but they sure knocked the snot outta PDs at extended range.
FWIW, and in all fairness, I'd say that 1/3 of the barrel life in my 6.5x284s was consumed in developing/tweaking loads.
