as so often is the case, keeping it simple works just fine. I have making beer batter at home, and in my various restaurants for many years. I have never found a better recipe.
12 ounces beer
cup flour
teaspoon salt
half teaspoon Tabasco (I use the one I make)
Stir the beer,flour and salt together until frothy. Add the hot sauce, and stir, then let it stand for an hour or so. Stir a few times before using.
