I worry about that with how I do stops for my Conquests and Nightforce SHV. This is the SHV. As you come down on the stop, it's gonna be putting upward pulling force on the erector internals. Hasn't seemed to cause any problems but I'm watchin'....

A shim-type stop that was internal to the turret would have the same effect. Whether that's a PROBLEM, don't know.
