I fully appreciate what he went through and sacrificed for this[our] country.
He NOW chooses[ of his own accord] to be a U.S. Senator.
Is he above reproach?

My comment above was in reference to his having his azz handed to him 8+ years ago by Obama. IMO he never has gotten past that.
If he isn't a fan of the current admin that's fine, but when he says stupid sheit like he did this morning he is undermining his own party.
