I was given an 1899 Savage rifle, 20 inch barrel, straight lever in 303 Savage that needs a stock. Serial number 110XXX places it around 1910. It has a very unusal stock made out of pine that has a very modified pistol type grip that can acomodate the straight lever. Inletting to the receiver is first rate. But it looks out of place. Gun in good condition, with a very good bore, but little bluing left on the left side of the receiver and tang, and what looks like cold blue on some of the barrel. I was thinking either of selling as is or finding another period correct straight stock. Send email if interested, I could go either way, to fix or sell. I was also given a 1903 Savage 22 rifle in excellent condition. I did some work for an elderly women that knew I was a hunter and gun collector. I can furnish photos.
