My opinion is being a lefty inherently helps with problem solving skills, overcoming obstacles, etc. When you hand a lefty a "regular" rifle, he probably won't like it, but he will shoulder it, work the action etc. Now hand a "regular" person a left-handed rifle and see what happens. 9 out of 10 will hand it back without trying anything.
Cannot argue with the comments above. For most of my professional career, I have been a "fixer". Just signed a contract for the next "fixer" gig today. My life is frequently like the scene in Apollo 13 where Gary Sinese dumps the box of stuff out on the table and says "OK. This is we have to work with..."
