You folks ever have this happen to you?

As I was preparing Easter dinner, I made some cocktail sauce for the scallops. Kept adding horseradish to the sauce and it wasn't getting enough kick. What the heck? So I started tasting the horseradish straight out of the jar, which should have had a serious kick. Nada.

Just happened to have a brandy new jar in the frig, so broke that out and all was right with the world.

I've never had horseradish go mild on me like that. Guess it sat too long in the frig.

Then again, horseradish doesn't usually last long around here, so I've never experience that before.

Guess it means I need to start eating more big shrimp and scallops more often. grin
