Dredging up a 5 year post shows some interesting comments by several folks.
I looked and was surprised that I was the one who started this thread lol. Sad to see some don't post anymore for various reasons.
I haven't done a 270 Weatherby like I was thinking of but have used the 160 gr Partition the last two springs on black bear from a 270 Win. It works great, 60 gr IMR 7977 clocks 2817 fps from a 23" barrel. That powder didn't even exist 5 years ago so it is interesting how things change over time. The 160 gr PT is my favourite 277 bullet so far and after finally trying the 270 Win I'm happy with it's performance. Still like the 270 Weatherby though.........
