Watching River Monsters as i tyoe this. He's in Greenland, fishing the bottom a half mile down, through the ice.

Have to laugh tho, at his emphasizing chooping thru "a foot of ice", and temperatures "10 degrees below freezing". Of course, he IS a first time ice fisherman, so that's allowable I guess. letting out and retrieving a half mile of line (with fish!) is something I haven't done. I think I'll stick to 6 feet of ice and up to 50 feet of water while shee fishing. We got power augers... smile.

They have just fetched up a big shark. Another thing I haven'tice-fished for!
