Joy said the lessons took all of about 2 hours a day, on average. Educators, my azz!

Mark - your experience, along with Joy's decision and efforts, ring so true. In the early 70s we (mostly my wife) did this with our three younger daughters - wonderful outcomes and lifetime rewards. And, the public schools back then were nowhere near as as weak as they are now, and what is now a wholesale "indoctrination program" was just getting started back then.
