Well...NcStar has surprised me. I returned the damaged scope and it arrived yesterday. That scope is no longer made, and they do not repair. It was a 3-12×50mm E. They no longer go up to 12mag either.
As of tomorrow morning, there is a brand new 2.5-10x50mm illuminated redical in route to my home. They didn't even ask for a receipt. It will fit the same scope rings as well. They also said that it will handle the recoil for this rifle with ease. Not to worry.
I'm impressed.
