Your LCP now looks like some I've seen after long confinement in ankle holsters. But as long as the barrel had a little oil on it, inside and outside, they always worked.

I've got (or had because my wife claimed it) an early LCP with the tiny sights and supposedly 'bad' trigger. Like you, I find it about perfect for a pocket gun. I figured if my slide ever rusted badly, I'd just rattle-can it with black engine paint.
