Thanks guys, always love what I can learn on the fire.
On the muzzle brake - it would be removable so I could just use if I was playing around at the range. My primary rifle is a 30-06, not worried about the recoil, but have never had any experience with a brake and wanted to try it.
Offshoreman, that is great info on the barrel contours - would be great to get a PM with any other thoughts.
