"The vultures are very interesting birds. They are, of course, the scavengers. One can look in all directions and not see a vulture in sight, but within seconds after shooting an animal, one could look up in the sky and just barely see them start to come down, and within minutes there would be hundreds of them, ready to feed on the animal carcass! We learned that they normally fly so high in the sky that they are out of sight from the ground, but inasmuch as their eyesight is very keen, they can spot the smallest animal on the ground.

One afternoon, when we had shot a zebra, we immediately noticed hundreds of vultures high in the sky above us. Within a few minutes they were almost thick as a cloud above us. After we had skinned the zebra, we drove our hunting car away about 150 yards, where we sat and watched the vultures come in and fee on the zebra carcass. As we watched them, we counted them, and also timed them! There were over 250 vultures that came in to feed. They swarmed over the carcass three or four layers thick - like bees. In fact, they pushed each other out of the way in order to get a bite of the meat! In seventeen minutes by watch, they had completely devoured the entire zebra carcass, which we estimated weighed about 800 pounds."

Happily Trapped In the Past (Thanks, Joe)

Not only a less than minimally educated person, but stupid and out of touch as well.
