Ok,,,,,, well, FWIW,,,,, a .35 Whelen Chambering is not anything Very Rare, or Special,,,,, in fact, it's pretty common in my part of the World,,,,, and just about any .30-06 Rifle can be Re-Chambered and Re-Bored for the .35 Whelen Cartridge,,,,, see attached....
