In rifles .. looking at the Christensen Ranger. It has the features I want. A buddy has handled one and suggests I wouldn't be happy with it so I should see and handle one before buying. That's hard to do today. Might build a 10/22 but I'm really in the mood for a bolt action.

Handguns .. I just picked up a S&W "Classic" K-22 / model 17. I just mounted a scope today and plan to test some ammo on my next range trip. Thinkin' about a 4-5/8" or 5-1/2" barreled Single Six next.

I just bought a Christensen Ranger, like it so far. Waiting on a different scope. Haven't shot it a bunch, but easily shots 10 shots in a nice round 1/2" group @ 50 yards when damn wind isn't blowing around here. Bolt is a little tight feeling, but I think it will smooth up with some shooting time.
