Thanks for all the input here! Seems like there are no new Montana's to be found anywhere and the "Kimber Master Dealer" I checked with said they are no longer being produced. Anyway, I bought a used one in .260 Rem. that I had my eye on. I think it's a very early model--2 position safety, dark grey stock. Having it shipped to me so it will be a week or two before I can see what it can do. Hopefully it won't have any issues that glass bedding and other simple fixes won't resolve. Now I have to sort out mounts and a scope...
I believe rumors of Kimber not making rifles have been proven false.
