Had a pretty good elk season over-all, done better done worse.
Started in August helping a couple friends with cows.
Friend of mine from Illinois had never shot an elk before, we remedied that opening day:
I snuck out on a day off and had this one killed and back to the truck by noon, 6mm Rem. 90 grain accubond 194 yards:
Next was general tag hunt with 2 friends.
Day 3 I shot this one, 247 yards with my 7-08 140 AB:
Day 5 my buddy shot this one with a 7 RM at about 70 yards:
Last day of the general season, my friend killed this cow, about 12 days before his 80th birthday. He tried out my 7-08 worked well for him, easy shot 120 yards:
That wrapped up the general season.
Next was hunting late season here in WY with cow and bull tags with some friends/family.
My buddy Jeff and I both shot our 3rd elk of the year out of a herd of 400 or so.
