I have been shooting my Belgian FN/FAL for over 42 years, it has never failed to feed, fire, and eject properly.
20 rounds of .308 and an instant reload is Firepower.
I then got a Venezuelan contract FN49 in 7 x 57. Internal 10 round mag and top loaded by 5 round stripper clips. Faster than a mag change.
Just as reliable as the FAL, but less recoil.
I also shoot my Colt AR-15 for the last 50 years, it never failed me. My back up gun for 25 years in Honolulu PD.
