Excuse me, but �American� Military rifles are given their names by �Americans�...not by Brits, and you will NOT find an American Military manual that refers to that rifle as a P17. �P� was the Brit designation for Pattern...as in the rifle (P17) that American companies had to build for them so they would have enough rifles to arm their soldiers.

Oh...and by the way, Sgt. York�s rifle was a 1903 Springfield not a Model of 1917...eh? smile
