I had a stray 300wsm round in my duffle I was carrying on board. I spent a little bit of time in a white room with lots of mirrors and a few TSA agents and one local PD. I had no idea what was going on until they showed it to me. We laughed about killing big elk and they let me go, without my stray round.
It's stupid that there should even be a problem with ammo. What are you going to do with it when there's no gun - point it and hold a match to the primer?
