Mine is a Mark II compact. It is one of the most handy rifles I own. It is just as good in a tree stand as it is hunting out West, if you keep your shots with in reason. Pros are light weight, handy, easy to carry, and no less accurate with ammo it likes than any other Ruger rifle. Cons are you lose a little speed with the short barrel and it can be a bit loud when shooting it due to the shorty barrel, and for bigger people the short length of pull can be an issue.
