No first hand experience, but the Trijicon credo 3-9x looks like a dandy with the precision hunter reticle, or if it was me, the plain mildot reticle. If I was looking for what you describe I'd be trying it, especially at 17oz and the price point on this sale at $550.00 I have a notion to pull the trigger on one just for the hell of it.
