I was mentored by a guy who worked developing the Speer load data. He focused on the pattern of the velocities as charges increase. He said that if velocities decrease or don’t increase as charges increase that is an indicator of max pressures. Adding even more powder will lead to bigger jumps than predicted based on the pattern previously established. Thereafter there will be substantial velocity jumps.

So when you get to a flat spot stop and perhaps back off. Double base powders can exhibit greater swings.
