Yeah, I've read that one before, and many others.
I prefer to just kill the crap when I see it.
As you said, it comes back because critters carry it back in., someone drives through a patch and then comes down your street and the seed heads open next to your driveway.
If nuclear radiation would work I'm about ready to try it around town. Too many folks there don't do anything about it alongside their buildings, the right of ways and such.
I'm too much of a barefoot kid still and just detest the crap.
