You missed the point being raised. Trump's unchecked ego and coarse bombast cost him the support of thousands who agreed with his vision, although they might have doubted his sincerity. That was very stupid and nothing like the mush mouth politicking you suggest.
Trump got 63,000,000 votes in 2016. He got 74,000,000 in 2020. (If you believe the official results.)
