"... Waterloo police were dispatched... for a report of a man with a gunshot wound to the chest area. When responders arrived, the victim was found to be deceased. He was later identified a Jospeh Quail. ... 18-year-old Danielle Otterson helped Quail work the action of an illegal short-barreled shotgun which did not fire. She then allegedly took the shotgun and worked the action, which caused a round to chamber, and while doing this, accidentally hit the trigger, firing a round into Quail's chest. Otterson then fled the scene and failed to report the incident to police. Officials say she later admitted to being in possession of the shotgun and being the one who accidently shot Quail. She's been charged with involuntary Manslaughter."
