Rehab works- - - -my wife is in a similar situation. She had four small strokes shortly after her 85 year old brother who lived with us for 15 years experienced a horrible ordeal in hospice care, and suffered terribly before passing away back in October. The past several months have been a challenge, but the 20 days she spent in rehab in February made a huge difference in her recovery. She is back home now, with home health care and physical therapists making visits twice a week. I'm going to be her primary caregiver for the forseeable future.
