Don't know much about tires, but I know a few things about new ones.
They are soft.
New tires ride much better, more tread, or compound?
They also puncture or cut much easier, so I'm guessing compound.

On trucks I hate new tires.
Squirmy and squishy on turns.

On passenger vehicles it's not as noticeable.

That slip will get worse. Given time.
I've liked every Michelin tireive ever had, until the get old.
Then they got so hard as to be scary on slick surfaces.

A old logger always said tires don't cure untill they get miles on them,
my experience seems to match his.

If you are referring to the tires that came off my truck, the DOT date stamp indicates the 8th week of 2024 on all of them. (0824)
