I have a Weaver V10 2-10x38 and think that it is a poor scope.
If you're looking for an inexpensive scope in that magnification range for your Stevens 200 in 223, I'd recommend the 3.5-10x40 Simmons Whitetail Classic that Natchez (
www.natchezss.com) has on sale. I've mounted 15+/-of these scopes for customers and liked them so much that I bought 12 (to date) for myself, family, and friends. These are old stock scopes made in the Philippines. I like the 3.5-10x40 version better than the 3.5-10x50, as it can be mounted lower.

Since I really dislike the 2-10x38 Weaver V10, I'll sell you mine for $80, just enough $$ for me to replace it with another 3.5-10x40 Simmons from Natchez.

PS I have a 3.5-10x40 Simmons on my Savage 11 in 223 and it does a nice job with the 50 grain VMax Fiocchi factory loads.
