I've several Treeman knives and have used two of them on Deer. As mentioned, their curved shape lends itself to skinning more than dressing chores. They do however, hold an edge and do the job. Most of his knives are made with O-1 steel; same as Randalls.
Jim's son as well as an acolyte of Jim's (Mike Malosh) tend to make knives with a straighter shape. You can check them out on e-Bay.
