I know the 125gr BT is the bullet of choice for Contender shooters in the .30-30, especially in the 14" barrels. Personally, I think it should work great out of a 20-22" barrel. A stiff load of 4198, H335, BL(C)-2, or the like whould give you velocities in the 2400fps range, which is more than enough.
