Took the rifle to a local smith specializing in accurizing.
He says he has had a number of these rifles over the years. So, he's going to bed the action and first inch of barrel, float the barrel and recrown the barrel.
Sounds like he knows what he's doing. Looking at some of the competitive targets he's shot, I'd say he can definitely build a good rifle.
All this is getting done pretty cheaply to boot.
