I stocked my Daughter's 260 with a McM Mountain Rifle pattern with a 1/2" pad, so that I could easily lengthen it with a 1" pad when she gets a little taller.

Although a McM stock is genreally more expensive then a Bansnar/HTS or B&C, it is a lifetime investment, so if you amortize the cost over 20 or 30 or 40 years, you get a great stock for less than the cost of a daily cup of coffee.
