I am on my 3rd 338. The first two were browning a-bolts. The first one kicked like a mule so I got rid of it for one with the boss. It shot great, but was too loud. So I had the boss taken off and the barrel cut down to 22 3/4". After that I never could get it to shoot right and the recoil was flat out BRUTAL. So I finally got the perfect 338. It is a Remington 700 stainless action that has been trued up an MPI stock in olive drab green with black spider webbing, gretan shroud assy, jewell trigger, and 24" barrel W/vais muzzle brake. It has a Luepy 2.5-8 in quick release mounts. This thing has shot everything I put in it under an inch. I am currently searching for a 225gr Accubond load that has more spped than my current load of 2623fps. This is with 70 grains of IMR4831.
