To those of you with an Extrema 2, I need help. I purchased one today, an early Christmas present to myself, and the people at Gander Mtn. disassembled it and put it in the factory case.
Here tonight I have been reading the manual and was ready to assemble and get familar with the gun.
My problem is there is an O-ring, approx. 1 1/4" dia. that was fitted loosely over the magazine tube. If I slide it up over the breech bolt assembly it fits snug, but serves no purpose there, and cannot remain in this location when the bolt retracts.
The assembly drawings and the instructions to not show or mention this O-ring. What is it? Where does it go?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
